Whats up with this new thing call Steampunk aka Neo Victorian. I must say that when I first heard of it my first reaction was like "who?". Needless to say when I googled the word here is the definition that Wikepedia gave me:
"Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s.[1] Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually Victorian era Britain—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology or futuristic innovations as Victorians may have envisioned them, based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, art, etc."
Right then I was hooked. Futuristic innovations as Victorians may have envisioned them, based on their current fashion. Does anyone remembers "Buck Rogers"?
As a kid I really did think that whenever they would show scenes from the year 2000 that in that year we all would still be walking around with butterfly collars and bell bottoms. That's because the projection was solely based on the styles of the current time. Steampunk expresses a projection of what those in the Victorian era would see as fashion today.
That Hawk Man was HOT.

Just look at all the beautiful treasures this little mermaid found. When the ship left, vowing to return when 300 moons passed, little did they know that a curious little mermaid was lurking in the waters, awaiting to discover what marvels they had left behind. And to her pleasant surprise she found chests full of beautiful lockets, jeweled rings and necklaces, metal cases, gentlemen cufflinks, money clips, and drinking flasks all adorned with whimsical gold and silver embellishments.
